Hospitality import Stephen Starr strikes again. The restaurateur’s Continental, whose original version opened in his Philadelphia home base 20 years ago this summer, expanded to the new Aloft hotel in South Beach. Executive chef Matthew Oetting came from Starr’s Caffe Storico in New York. Though he makes a mean backyard burger topped with Nueske’s bacon, vegetarians will find plenty of greens. Crudité features a trio of dips including hummus, ranch dressing and Korean ssamjang. Dijonnaise jazzes up a whole globe artichoke, while romesco and pickled chiles work wonders for charred broccoli. DIY bento boxes present an array of sushi ingredients—don’t worry about your skills since full instructions are provided. It sates his patrons as they wait for his new French concept alongside his popular Makoto in Bal Harbour Shops.
