The pumpkins are carved, costumes prepared and there’s plenty of Halloween festivities to celebrate the holiday throughout Coconut Grove this weekend. Our community savors this Fall holiday which seems to transform into a Haunted Halloween movie set! Princesses, pirates, goblins and ghouls will run amuck tonight at the legendary Howl-O-Ween at Cocowalk. One of the biggest parties of the year, the event kicks off with the kid’s festivities throughout the early afternoon and evening with trick-or-treating, face painting  and a costume contest. As the sun sets, however, nearly 40,000 partygoers are expected to fill the streets with live DJs, costume parties and spectacular people watching.

The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove will also offer family friendly Halloween activities at their Halloween Spooktacular. Festive food and beverages will abound, as kids sprawl across the lush courtyard and partake in face painting, bounce houses and more.  For those with younger kids, Silly Monkey Playhouse is offering what will surely make for an adorable night at their Silly Halloween Bash. After all the trick-or-treating, stop by TK’s at the Villa Mayfair for Halloween-inspired crafted cocktails like the Pumpkin Spice Mojito.

I’m enjoying Halloween celebrations in Coconut Grove where I work and play… with my kids! I started my day with an adorable preschool Halloween party at Plymouth in the heart of Coconut Grove. And once school is out, my family and I will be trick-or-treating in the Moorings. The gated South Grove community welcomes neighbors to hop in the bounce house, enjoy food vendors, and tackle a huge slide! Have a safe Halloween!
