Le Bernardin alum David DiStasi opened Materia Ristorante in Bantam for a contemporary approach to Italian fare, finished with a digestivo from the grappa cart. Making The New York Times 2023 Restaurant List, Ore Hill sources much of its produce, dairy and meat from nearby Rock Cobble Farm in South Kent. Litchfield County-located Community Table was nominated for a James Beard award this year.

Haystack Mountain State Park’s and Talcott Mountain State Park’s towers offer panoramic views around Norfolk’s and Simsbury’s Connecticut countryside, respectively. As its name implies, Kent Falls State Park in the southern Berkshires features cascading water pools along a walking trail.
