The new all-suite Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach finally opens October 10. The brand’s second location in Florida (the first being Brickell) boasts 290 suites with ocean views, private terraces, marble soaking tubs and separate showers, and Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen appliances. Because of the locale’s marine heritage, a nautical theme centers on postmodernist architect Michael Graves’ cruise-ship design including balconies and porthole windows. Amenities abound, from a 20,000-square-foot pool deck whose heated fresh-water pool and whirlpools overlook the ocean, to a spacious, full-service spa with men’s and women’s steam rooms and a couple’s massage room. Art is key here, too. A fire pit and library inspire conversation, and guests can discover local points of interest at stayinspired.com. Four dining options and a sky deck complete the package.
